After decades designing, using, and servicing dilution refrigerators, we understand how they fail. We've engineered The Fridge to eliminate key causes of downtime, maintenance, and failure.

No more scroll pumps: We replaced maintenance-heavy, failure-prone circulation scroll pumps with micro roots blowers that provide decades of maintenance-free operation.
Zero acid-flux solder: Our dilution unit components last longer by eliminating acid flux—which causes corrosion —and solder—which fails after extended cryogenic use.
Minimal rubber: Every inch of rubber in your dilution unit is a guaranteed leak rate today and a potential failure point tomorrow. We replaced the dozens of KF flanges used in alternative systems with welded joints and metal-to-metal flanges.
Infinite lifecycle helium traps: Never stress about topping off LN2 again. Our self-cleaning cycling helium traps keep your fridge cold indefinitely.

Cool more with less

The Fridge harnesses cooling power with over 50% more wiring area per plate, cooling more wires and devices at the same nominal system performance. Our improved thermalization layout, more effective continuous heat exchanger system, and Flexlines mean there's never been a more efficient 500 uW system.

More fridges per lab

The Fridge offers big performance in a small package. Taking up only 10% as much space as comparable systems, The Fridge's components fit in two 19" server racks, with space left over for 9 U of customer-specific electronics. Our square form factor maximizes usable space while minimizing thermal mass, radiative heat loads, and laboratory footprint.

More experiments per fridge

With over 35 L of sample volume and nearly 1000 cm² of wire capacity per plate, the Maybell Fridge can support over 300 SMA-connectorized cables or more than 4,000 Flexline traces.

Innovate and iterate quickly

There's also no need to disassemble The Fridge for sample swaps—it comes with doors for quick sample access. Our unique parallel front-loading wiring inserts make The Fridge the only option on the market that allows large samples to be wired entirely outside the fridge and loaded as a single assembly, from room temperature to qubit.

Less noise—thermal, electrical, and acoustic

With IR absorbing mixing chamber coatings, thoughtful electrical isolation, and groundbreaking vibration isolation, The Fridge delivers the quietest mixing chamber in the industry. Acoustic isolation of the pulse tube and compressors makes it a blessedly quiet labmate.

Smarter software

We've radically rethought how you control the system. Our open-source software enables industry-leading user experience and security while supporting integration with applications developed within your organization. The system can also be run fully air-gapped to meet the most stringent security specifications.
