Maybell fridges are designed for maximum uptime and reliability. Our team’s decades of experience in designing, using, and servicing competing dilution refrigerators enabled us to identify the biggest causes of failure and eliminate them. Unlike traditional systems, there are no scroll pumps on the circulation line to maintain or replace (our micro roots blowers run for years without service). There’s no acid-flux or solder in any of our joints that could degrade over time, and we’ve reduced the number of rubber gaskets by 90% compared with competitors. Connections in our system are welded or metal-sealed to preclude leaks for decades.
Even routine tasks like adding liquid nitrogen are a thing of the past—our integrated cold traps regenerate automatically and never require liquid cryogens. The result is a cryostat that can stay cold for years with zero maintenance. We back this up with a robust warranty. In short, Maybell delivers unparalleled reliability, keeping your lab running smoothly week after week, month after month, and year after year.
Using a Maybell fridge is straightforward and stress-free, in stark contrast to many legacy systems. We’ve introduced features that users have long dreamed of: a front-opening door for easy access, parallel front-loading wiring modules that simplify experimental setup, rapid sample loaders that allow you to insert full experimental setups -- from room temperature through to your sample -- in minutes, not days. No other dilution refrigerator on the market offers these conveniences. Where competing systems require deep expertise and extended timelines to open, disassemble, and change a sample or rewire—our system can be turned around in minutes.
Maybell empowers your team to do more science with less frustration—young researchers get up to speed faster, and seasoned experts can push their experiments further without fighting the hardware. When comparing, ask: does the other system expect you to spend hours under or inside it? Do they force you to use proprietary software? Are they built with you in mind? Maybell’s openness and user-centric design speak for themselves.
Performance both about hitting the lowest temperatures and about maintaining excellent conditions under real experimental loads. Maybell systems excel here. Our Fridges routinely achieve base temperatures below 10mK, and more importantly, hold those temperatures stable for months with literally zero intervention. Thanks to our improved thermalization layout you get more experimental capacity out of a nominal cooling power (e.g., 500 µW at 100 mK) because you can intercept and dissipate more energy at higher stages. We cool more wires and bigger samples without sacrificing base temperature or stability. Our fridges also provide an exceptionally low-noise environment: we’ve integrated superior vibration isolation, IR absorption, and EM shielding to ensure that your qubits see an ultra-quiet background.
In head-to-head comparisons, Maybell fridges have the lowest measured vibration at the mixing chamber and the lowest electromagnetic interference—attributes that directly translate to better qubit coherence and experimental fidelity. And if you need high magnetic fields, our integrated magnet options deliver that without compromising the cryostat (no quenching nightmares or awkward retrofits). In summary, Maybell gives you top-tier cryogenic performance on all fronts: temperature, stability, noise, experimental capacity, and environmental flexibility. You don’t have to trade one for another.
Scaling up quantum research shouldn’t mean building a new lab. Maybell’s compact and efficient design lets you fit more dilution refrigerators in the same space (even in a single room) than competitor solutions. Our fridges require as little as 10–20% of the floor space and support lower ceiling heights than others do, thanks to the two-rack design and elimination of bulky overhead superstructures. This “small footprint, big output” approach enables academic labs and startups alike to increase their cryogenic throughput without expensive infrastructure expansion.
On the flip side, we also enable scaling up inside the fridge: each Maybell fridge can handle far more wires and larger experiments than conventional systems. For example, the Big Fridge can support multiple 100-qubit experiments in parallel or one experiment with up to 1000+ qubits—all in one unit. In case that’s not enough, the Fridge+ and Big Fridge can be modularly networked into arrays, making them arbitrarily expandable.
We’re also ready for the quantum future, with proprietary IP that will allow for unmatched electrical, water, and helium efficiency in scaled cryogenic platforms through the Maybell ColdCloud.
Crucially, scaling with Maybell doesn’t require re-inventing the wheel: we maintain compatibility with standard components (wiring, water chillers, power etc.) so you can upgrade your fridge to Maybell with minimal infrastructure changes. In short, Maybell is ready to grow with you—whether that means more fridges, bigger fridges, or both.
Every Maybell system is designed for longevity and reliability under the most demanding research conditions. We’re so confident in the robustness of our design that we offer the industry’s strongest warranty — ten years on every dilution unit and three years on the complete system.
But our commitment doesn’t end there. We stand by every installation with world-class support, ensuring your experiments succeed and your uptime stays high. Our team of quantum infrastructure experts spans four countries, providing round-the-clock coverage and deep technical expertise wherever your research takes you.
Because when you’re pushing the boundaries of science, you deserve tools — and a team — built to go the distance.
When you purchase a Maybell system, our support starts before the system arrives. We assist with site preparation (electrical and cooling requirements, site layout, etc.) and then perform an on-site installation and calibration of the fridge. Our team will work with yours to ensure that you know how to make the most of your system, integrate accessories, and ensure every element of your integrated system is operating at spec. We also provide hands-on training for your staff—covering operation of the fridge, software usage, best practices for wiring and sample mounting, and basic troubleshooting. By the time we leave, your team will be comfortable and confident running your Fridge.
Our team is available to consult on how to get the best performance out of your Fridge for your particular application. For example, if you’re trying to achieve a very low noise measurement, our experts can advise on filtering strategies and grounding. If you’re scaling up the number of qubits, we can help plan the wiring and discuss cooling power budgets and attenuation optimization. Consider us an extension of your team—we love understanding your experimental goals and helping you achieve them. This collaborative support is something our customers greatly appreciate, and it’s a service we’re happy to provide.
Need to add a new capability later? A higher field magnet? Additional wiring for a new device type? Novel shields? Maybell’s service team can help with upgrades and modifications to your system over its lifetime. Our modular design makes many upgrades plug-and-play. We will ensure any new additions are installed correctly and tested, maintaining the integrity of the system. We stand by the mantra that a Maybell Fridge is a long-term platform—as your needs evolve, so can the Fridge.
In short, when you work with Maybell, you’re never on your own. From before your first cooldown through to your Nobel Prize or IPO, we plan to be with you and support your successes. Issues get solved quickly and new ideas become reality through our partnership. We believe that supporting you after the sale is nearly as important as the technology itself. Experience the peace of mind that comes with the Maybell Service Guarantee and our dedicated support team.
